Assignment 8
I choose to do the popcorn toss. At first it was hard to coordinate my mouth, arm and the rest of my body. I would often through it too much to the right or left, too high or not high enough, and over my head. I would also through the popcorn not close enough to where my mouth was and then I would have to lunge forward to try and catch it. I believe that I was doing what the article talked about when it said "When your system registers “ah that dart went slightly to the left” then your system makes an adjustment." I think the problem was that I was overthinking it and I overcompensated when I was too over and would go to the next extreme. Once and every couple I would get in, but then a new challenge would arise and my system would have to make a new adjustment. Eventually, I learned to keep my eye on the target (the popcorn) and then my body would move according to where the popcorn was in the air. I would still miss once and awhile, but it was easier and took less tries to get the popcorn back on target as I went along.
