Formal: In a classroom with a teacher. There is a set date and time for the class.

 

Informal: Date and time changes frequently, does not follow a  lesson plan or lesson plan is more general and not always followed.

 

Non-Formal:  You choose when to learn. Self evaluation and learning using books or technology.
